    Engine undertray Foam replacement.

Happy memories. Many moons ago when I was always pottering endlessly with all sorts of cars, I had built up quite a collection of lost screwdrivers, sockets and even a wristwatch from an Opel GT. Unfortunately it turned out to be worth about three cheers. :(

    Engine undertray Foam replacement.

Never had one to begin with Snake Charmer, as car came without it. I was offered one with the inner foam having suffered from what looked like a rat attack. Going to go with this one which hopefully makes it to here from Poland in one piece. I have had stuff sent previously without a problem.

    Engine undertray Foam replacement.

Cheers. I have come to the conclusion that by the time I would source the insulation, strip the old one out, refit etc it would be less grief to buy a new one. There are a few non oem on the bay I may take a chance with.

    Engine undertray Foam replacement.

Hi Folks. Anyone know if Mercedes sell replacement engine undertray foam for my e class, or which material can I use to safely replace it myself? Would neeed to be easy to do as I can make a mess of brushing the floor! Cheers.

    Engine Undertray.

Many thanks. I will contact MB Newcastle tomorrow. Purchased from them in the past and they are excellent. My E class estate is a beauty but let down by the 2.2 diesel engine, though adequate, is a tad noisy. Hoping an undertray will deaden it a bit.

    Engine Undertray.

Can anyone let me know the oem for the engine undertray on my 2012 e class 2.2 diesel please? The car came bereft of any undertrays at all.

    2012 E class headlights disappointing.

Thanks Wighty. Getting things checked out this weekend.

    2012 E class headlights disappointing.

Many thanks for all you suggestions. Appears the standard fit for this year and model were halogen, I have the build sheet and there is no mention of xenon, so I will replace with the Osram Night Breaker and see if that works. I will get my indy to replace them as I foresee bleeding knuckles...

    2012 E class headlights disappointing.

I will check tomorrow, but I think that was the standard fitting. Did my first nightime unlit road trip a few days ago and it was so bad I thought I was on sidelights only.

    2012 E class headlights disappointing.

Can I take it that the H7 night breaker laser is the correct replacement for my e class?

    2012 E class headlights disappointing.

Recently purchased 2012 e class 2.2 diesel estate. I find the headlights on unlit roads a bit disappointing. Full beam is ok. Lenses are pristine. Any suggestions please?

    Tyre Pressures.

I am constantly on pothole watch nowdays. Some of our minor road resemble scud missile test sites.

    Tyre Pressures.

I have now lowered the pressures to 36 psi and it seems to suit well. Slightly more feel in the steering and not as firm on the road.

    Tyre Pressures.

It is the 2012 Avantgarde 2.2 diesel model. Don't think this one has the 'Direct Steer' set up.

    Tyre Pressures.

Many thanks grayb. I will reduce to 36psi and see how that goes. The steering on this 'her indoors' E class is very 'American', as in extremely light without much feel at lower speeds although it gets progressively better as this increases. It's chalk and cheese compared with my old faithful...

There is no great sin in making a spelling error, especially if you don't speak proper English what like I do!

    Tyre Pressures.

Hi Folks. 2012 E class avantgarde 2.2 estate. Tyres are new 245 45 ZX 17 with recommended pressures of 38 psi, 2.6 bar. This feels quite firm to me and seems to make the steering even lighter than it is. Never more than three occupants normally and no great loads, so could anyone advise...

    Oil Leak E Class.

He was literally searching with various lights and torches for a good half hour with engine running. Nothing was showing so sprayed everywhere and dried off, checked again but nothing, before sending me on a long drive. Everything dry on my return but it was dripping slightly when it first went...

    Oil Leak E Class.

Engine thoroughly washed down and dried as much as possible by indy, followed by a 40 mile drive. On returning, everything is bone dry. Not an oil leak in sight. Thought it may have been leakage from quite a while in the past but indy says, " you wish ". Definitely seepage or a leak somewhere...

Cheers. Undertray was missing from this one. Good news is indy will take it first thing on Monday.
