£14 extra for insurance for remap?

Phoned my insurance today,getting a remap at gad north on satuarday and paid £14 for the modification ?
Thought that was ok?
It's for a e350 coupe 14 plate
Phoned owners club insurance fearing LV insurance were going to scalp me
But was pleasantly surprised
Any thoughts?

DL charged me £25 for the Bluefin on the Qashqai

Their acceptance criteria was less than 20% more bhp
They no doubt look at the driver and the car but your £14 is reasonable

Yeah I thought so
Like I said I was prepared to cancel it and take a new policy
If they were going to fleece me
Bluefins are great had a couple on
My previous cars but they don't do one
For this one

When I swopped my 2003 E320 CDi (pre-facelift), to a 2007 E320 CDi (facelift), the insurance went down!

Considering the newer V6 engine, is more powerful than the older IL6!

Had a RS 500 in 1989 and insurance
Jumped from £456 to £2500 !!!
They were all getting nicked and had to
Get a vecta immobiliser to get insurance ?

When I bought my current car (E63) it replaced a Jaguar XFR and my insurance also went down for some strange reason, even though the value was higher and the MB had more power.

When I first remapped the car it went up though, like yours, by a negligible amount. It was only when I kept adding to the list that it started getting a bit more expensive, with them coming to the eventual conclusion that they could no longer cover it, so I had to look elsewhere.

This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, as it's now come down again.

That's a bargain !!
I paid £25 to go from 18 to 19 inch wheels.
What's the BHP now ? I take it yours is the 265 one.

256 bhp it's now 315 and 750 nm of torque it makes a real difference
