Hello, I am just about to buy a 1997 e320 avantgarde. I'm getting crazy quotes for my insurance. I've been driving for 32 years. The cars only worth £500, will be parked on a provate drive and the insurance quotes are over £1000. I can get it down to £550 if I buy and insure the car through my business which has 3 years NCB. Does anyone else insure through their business and getting a better price ? Thanks

At that age you may be able to get it on a classic car policy. Doesn't accrue NCD but is usually quite a bit cheaper. It can't be your only vehicle though.

I went through similar with my E350, for me it was switching back from company to private car. Aviva offered me a 3 year introductory NCD offer, brought me down to around £600 inc. legal and replacement car cover.
