I have a blocked windscreen nozzle. I have taken it off and the water flows freely from the pipe. I have put a pin in the nozzle to clear it, but it will not work. I have tried blowing in it, but it seems blocked. Any ideas?

Try getting someone to put their finger over the nozzle of the other working one , which should increase pressure to the non working one

Put a piece of hose on the nozzle (at the back) and suck. Be ready to spit out whatever is blocking it!

I use an air line ..... I appreciate that not everyone has their own compressor though.

Use a spray can such as wd40 with the small pipe attachment to reverse blow the nozzle , or carb cleaner something like that

I had a similar problem with my R170 last week. A pin was no good so I got a paper clip, partially unfolded it and used that with some real brute force and a twisting motion. You need to insert it about 2cm or more.

Pins are too big for the task.
I relieve a wooden, hand held wire brush of one of its wires.

I had the same issue and in the end just soaked the jets overnight in a glass of drain unblocker. They were still bubbling away 5h after putting it in as all the stuff reacted with it (one was so blocked it had no hole at all and you couldn't tell where it would have been). While they were off I put the hoses into some plastic bottles and ran drain blocker through the whole system too. No problems since, mind the drain unblocker here is rather industrial strength and will burn the skin instantly upon contact so not sure it's available in the UK?

Hi solved the problem. Soaked it over night in vinegar and then used some fuse wire. Now working. Thank you for all your replies.
