2014 639 Viano- 651, 5sp Auto. 2009 S211- 646, 5sp Auto.
I'm preparing the Vito to advertise it for sale, the replacement Viano is arriving imminently.
327K miles but as a well equipped MPV I feel it should give usefulness to a new owner for many miles yet, it would disappoint me to think it wouldn't.

It drives well, albeit with a frustrating buzziness after many miles driving, at low revs.
Last night I removed the EGR delete cct I had installed, and the blank I had installed in the EGR manifold, and plugged back in to the EGR valve.
The reason is that the mod might well confuse a new owner, or an Indie at a future repair.

I'm now looking at 3 fault codes, they were present before the delete was installed.

P2A00- Powertrain- o2 Sensor cct Range.
P0401- Powertrain- EGR Flow Insufficient.
(Pending) P0405- EGR Sensor 'A' cct Low.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Have you cleared the codes down and see what has come back?

Chances are there is a wiring fault from your removal. If you had star you could actuate the EGR valve and test that and then that in turn would also rule out the wiring.

Thanks Steve,
The fault codes were there prior to the mod.
When cleared the codes return, instantly.

Removal of the mod cct was as simple as cutting the four wires. You may be familiar with the Alex Crow mod, it's basic in that it solders onto 3 wires of the EGR plug, and the correct MAF wire. No necessity to cut existing wiring, it piggy backs.

Now cut away and removed, with the EGR reconnected it 'should' be as before.

Oh, Torque can see the EGR ranges from 4.7% to 97%. Of course this doesn't mean the valve is opening to those values.

Well you can take the EGR out and actuate it and see if it moves....but as its an electronic EGR with a hall sensor in it, I doubt its lying to you!

You may need STAR with guided fault finding to help you diagnose it. It doesnt sound obvious and I wouldn't want to guess at anything.

With the EGR unplugged, and the pipe work with a physical blank, Torque was reading the same values.
I wondered if it was giving indication of the signal going to the EGR valve (or in plug, as it was).

To complicate a little more the Vito has apparently been mapped from nearly new. Maybe there is possibility that the EGR was mapped out?

I am not familiar with torque diagnostics so can't comment for sure..

If it was done by GAD it is highly likely they have mapped out the EGR.
