Hi Guys
Fault occurred yesterday on my 2002 w210 e320cdi The Indicators. Horn and Wipers not working, I have checked all the relevant fuses and tried to reset the front acquisition module by disconnecting the negative battery lead to reset the network, reconnected the battery but no joy, started the engine and 3 malfunctions, BAS,ESP & ABS appeared, turned the steering wheel all the way to the left and then right and this seemed to correct the warning lights, But the Indicators, Horn and Wipers are still not working, Any Ideas please Guys.
Cheers

They seem to have different fuses.
Fuse 41 under the bonnet for the horn.
Fuse 4 at the side of the dash controls the indicators and reverse lamps
Fuses 5 and 19 also at the dash end and 41 + 43 under the rear seat for wipers

The only thing I can think of in common to all those is the front SAM. Have you anything can read the codes from the SAM and reset them?

I will check the SAM and see if that is the problem, its a strange one, will check and let you know, thanks for the Heads up.
I think Nairac has the same model as mine perhaps he is able to shine some light on this problem.
Many thanks again

Hi Roger, That would be the ideal way to go but with the electrics playing up, its a bit of a gamble and that's why I have asked if any other e320 cdi owners had got a solution to this problem, I don't fancy taking the chance on the M27, If I can get an answer to this then I will take it our Friends at MBS for a STAR diagnosis to make sure all is working as it should.
Cheers Roger hope you and your Family are well.

Perhaps a run up the M27 without indicators isn't such a good idea.
Don't forget Startech in Poole if you need somewhere closer.

Alls well here Baz, thanks for asking.
I trust you and the family are OK too?

I guess no one has had this problem before, will keep looking to see whether I can find out what is causing this, must agree though it is a difficult fault to find. If I do find out the answer I will post it so any other Member with a similar fault hopefully it will help.

I remember one similar case where culprit was one relay right side (not driver side) box... LHD car...

2005 CL500.
Do these cars have the infamous K40 relay? Worth checking.

I had exactly the same on a w202...it was k40. I think the hazard lights would work, but not the indicators.

I do indeed. In my many crates of 320cdi spares. Probably the bottom one.

What do they go for on ebay? I've no idea but I'll beat your cheapest quote by some margin.

Cheers Pal I have been talking to someone who had a similar problem with his Merc and they said it could be the A0005400372 Relay Unit which houses the W40 Relay and other Fuses, this unit sometimes has bad or corroded connections on the PCB and can cause this problem ????
My Son who works for Porsche is testing the Relay for me today and will let you know if this is the culprit. Car Electrics baffle me.
Cheers Mate
