2006 200A - Central locking "bouncing"!

Unfortunately I just missed getting a reply from Malcolm (Television) - before he moved on. RIP.

I'm hoping that perhaps someone had the good fortune to have received the information from Malcolm and can pass it on to me.

I have a 2006 200A W169. The driver door and driver-side passenger door will not lock. Door lock "bounces". If anyone can help with information it would be really appreciated.

Very common problem on Mercedes cars, the door lock actuator is broken.

Thank you. Found lots of info and have ordered a set of springs online. Not looking forward to fitting them I might add!

Dealt with that one on my CLS when I did have it. Luckily warranty company agreed to replace he whole mechanism. What a saviour that was haha

I've replaced some of these springs, but the time it takes mucking about stripping everything apart its just as cost effective to unbolt and swap in a new unit...
