HI Guys looking for some advice!

My car has been playing up for a while now, symptoms, keeps cutting out

After taking it to a Mercedes dealer the first time they changed the fuel temp sensor costing me £380, drove it out the garage and within a day the same symptoms returned!
Took it back and they said the ECU needed flashing, so went ahead with it!
Again, drove it out and the symptoms returned.

Took it back and now they are saying the inline fuel pump in the fuel tank must be faulty!

its really starting to stress me out now as I haven't had the car long! can anyone help?

or has anyone had the same problem?

thanks for taking your time to read my post and I hope to hear from you guys soon!

Hope this post might get the experts along to help you....but I would suspect an air leak in the fuel system. What mileage has the car done and is it a 203 or 204? 2007 was the changeover point when the new shape was introduced.

I had the same problem in my c220 cdi. It turn out to be the crank case sensor. It only shows a fault when if it is in fault, so it wasn't picked up by star when operating normally.

Hope this helps.

Hello all, I have just joined up and so I'm new also. I have a Clc 220 cdi sport and my car does exactly as you have described to the letter. I have just retired and now I'm trying after some 4yrs of having had this problem looking for an answer as to how it can be rectified.
I first noticed the problem after getting my car back from a glow plug change at the main dealer for MB in Poole. I took the car back to them and they told me it could be a problem with many things and that they could investigate it further at my expense. I love my car and have been driving MB since 1977 but unfortunately in this country whenever you need to take your car for repair to main dealer it is looked upon by the representatives of MB here as an opportunity to rip you off.

Have you found out the cause in your case for your car to play up like this?

Please help anyone.

Tim.

I also suggested MBS on another thread bit of a hike though.
