2010 e250 cdi auto estate gearbox issue

Hi my e250 seems to shift in to second gear but the revs drop and theres no kick down/it has no power? It does slowly increase rev's and then goes into 3rd and its ok. Just seems to be an issue with 2nd gear?

Doesn't appear to be any fault messages?

Any ideas what it could be, or how i can check/ what i can do?

Not sure what gearbox these have but it has paddles and the gearshifter

Any help really appreciated

Do you get the same result when manual shifting using the paddles ?

Yes seems to be the same, although the fault has seemed to go away yesterday and then returned briefly on a few occasions.

In Eco mode the box is very lazy and if say approaching a roundabout slowly and the gear is second you can give it a fair bit of pedal but the car seems to pause unable to decide, if you in these circumstances use kick down it flies off like a scalded cat, too fast in fact.

In sport mode it’s sooooo much better.
