I am new to this MB Owners club so please excuse errors / omissions.

I have Engine management light on, and having invested in a MB2 from iCarsoft code reader, it tells me of the above 2 fault codes. Can anyone please tell me of any other checks that I can do before concluding that I will need to replace the heater element in the adblue tank.

Has anyone experience of replacing the heater element? Any tips / ideas to prevent damage to other components whilst changing the element such as causing damage to the pump etc.

What is the Mercedes part number for the heater element? It it a Main dealer part or will I be able to buy elsewhere?

I have tried just deleting the fault codes but they come back after driving just 8 miles. The code reader advised that there was some 5 litres of adblue in the tank and I have topped up with a further 10 litres but fault code remains.

Any advice/guidance will be much appreciated.

Almost certainly this will be a Mercedes only part; could be worth trying a third party supplier though. Not sure what MB supply as a replacement for this problem, however, it has come up on here before; I would give your nearest dealership a call....but be prepared by sitting down!!

Adblue heaters are easy to replace but are expensive.
