Empty garage, awaiting new toy :)
Driving my van I had a eastern European Audi driver brake test me
all due to the fact he didn't understand the lane filtering from 3 to 2 on an A road.
After I reversed my van back out of his hatchback,
he seemed a little shocked that I had pushed him onto the hard shoulder
under power and steering him across to safety.

My dash cam provided enough evidence for the police of him driving with undue care and attention.

In my van I never brake if someone is **** balling about in front of me on their brakes, I do the opposite
and push them out of the way.

Don't brake, that is risky. You can of course lift off the throttle and the car will slow gently....

Far too close!

are you serious?

the front car (which I later read is you) is NOT doing 20 anyway ( at the start I would suggest much closer to 30 - I hope you aren't one of these motorists who react to other's bad driving by behaving stupidly and start to inconvenience others road users - like slowing down deliberately) all I can see is the guy behind isn't wasting tyres and ball joints needlessly serving all over the road around stupid traffic calming islands... which only causes pedestrians to panic when cars are wildly pointing the car this way and that for nothing!

The front car is me and I'm doing 22. I set the CC to 22 on this road.

If you don't do that, you crash in lorries coming the other way on the other side of the road.

I agree that the whole lot is stupid, but that's not a defence in court when they are trying to take your licenses away for doing twice the legal speed limit.

Tailgaters are a ****** selfish nuisance, but then so are those that try to teach others that they are going too fast when it's safe to go faster than they are. It's all arrogance.
I use my hazards to (double) indicate to the git behind that they are wrong, I've found it to be more effective than the other methods I've tried and is less antagonistic.

We're off to London on Saturday and I can near guarantee that I won't experience the antics of the impatient until I'm nearing Birmingham and beyond.

Let’s put some perspective on this

10,000 years ago mummy and jimmy were wandering about when all of a sudden, young offender comes out of nowhere focusing on learning and growing up and doesn’t see mummy and jimmy. He bumps in to them. Ugly daddy comes along and clips young offender round the ear and helps him see the error of his ways.

Next day young offender is up to same learning experience, but mummy, jimmy and ugly daddy are eating supper. Ugly daddy looks out approvingly and says look at that jimmy, young offender is enjoying himself. Just like I did, like your grandfather did, and I hope you and my grand children will. That’s much better than burgling next door.

Slowly, some ugly daddies changed into soft wimpy daddy and others in to psycho nutter daddy. So we handed responsibility for clipping young offender’s ear to the Law. We let wise village elders who understood things’ make well judged rules. This allowed for considered, impartial opinions, on young offenders misdemeanours and the world worked better.

Role on to 2018 and some countries still have freedom and sensible laws, others introduced draconian stupid and oppressive laws that have no beneficial effect (but they do have a secret agenda many are sleep walking through).

Until then, most normal people ignore them. A 20 Mph limits springs to mind as such an example. mummy and jimmy are still about, but now mummy is busy looking on dirty grinder and jimmy is brain washed from computer gaming and watching porn. How can a 20 mph limit help them stay safe?

What jimmy needs is to be out playing sport to help his coordination and perspective and not insistently adding more dangerous tools to his an electronic tagging device. If only he could turn off his smart phone and get out in the real world.

However wimpy daddy doesn’t have the foresight to see or do anything about this. All he can think is 20 mph will keep jimmy safe. However, if he was a wise village elder he would be able to see that if we ask young offender to do 20 mph he’ll just stop focusing on driving. Most likely he’ll just end up texting his next drugs pick up. As it is, with no job he’s only on the road ferrying his hoddie mates to jam some more central locking systems, so they can score their next fix.

A stark where the sensible country land, who let young apprentice, drive at 35 to 40mph (where he’s looking and concentrating on driving) on his way to growing manufacturing base and thriving economy successful future world.

Most new laws are unnecessary - They are there to remove free will and hold you back, helping to re-enslave us. It won’t be long before all the technology joins up and slavery is fully in place in the UK. It’s just as well our last bastion of help wasn’t abandoned in a clever marketing ploy to the slaves and the EU is firmly with us helping through these dangerous times.....

Oh! must stop my electronic tag’s battery is almost flat and the police will be at the door if that happens .... (or is that 2019?)
