Hello all, I recently purchased the above car without seeing it, previous owner said it ran beautifully. Guess what? it takes about ten minutes to start it, keeps attempting and stalling. by pumping the accelerator you can eventually get it to run but will not run anything lower than approx 2000rpm. Undrivable
Observations are...the economy hand moves while running(not driving), none of the dash instruments work, the ABS light is on, I noticed the single 10A fuse on the OVP relay had blown, replaced it but blew immediately .
I guess I purchased a lemon, a cheap lemon but a lemon none the less.
Any help guys I would appreciate
Thanks
Rgds

It will definatede create hard startings. You might also have a vacuum leak or air leak. The rubber diaphragm under the injection unit (you'll need to remove the injection unit to see) is a common place, you'll also be able to check all the rubber idle hoses are ok at the same time.

Don't worry, it's most likely very simple problems like these, easy and cheap to sort, then you'll have a beautiful car!

Thank you for that, I do suspect a massive vacuum leak because Im pretty sure the economy hand shouldn't budge until driving.

Can someone confirm if this is a vacuum leak looking at the economy hand at these revs, and what does this plug in to and where
Thanks
