Yesterday I acquired a very nice used C200.circa 1988.... Snag.....I now discover it does not include an electrically controlled exterior mirrors folding switch in the spec. Question...?? can I manually push the mirrors in to a folding position or will shoving them cause damage? It is Sunday and I have no knowledgeable person to ask!

if the mirrors are non folding, you can't fold them. They will just spring back.

Hi,
I think you mean 1998,
The W202 C Class was only made from 1993
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_C-Class

Folding mirrors can be retro fitted allgedely quite easily.
Parts could be sourced secondhand, the loom probably cheap enough new.
I have a step by step guide on how to do this if you are interested let me know,
Indeed anybody else who would like to install folding mirrors, for a 202, or a 210.
More than welcome to a copy.

You are absolutely right....my error, the new baby is a 1998 C200 not 1988 as typo shows. Would be grateful for any help you can give me...how do I obtain it?
