I've had my W202 on 4 wheel alignment and tracking at ATS but the fronts and rears still wear too much on the inside. The rears are very minor but the fronts are wasting tyres despite rotating them.

The bushes and ball joints seem fine.
Could anyone recommend one of those kits with cammed bolts which allow camber adjustment?

I would like the rear to ride a little higher anyway as I often carry loads so could do with some height in reserve. I fitted new genuine MB springs a couple of years ago. The pads on the rear have two burls at the moment. Could someone please recommend a place to get the pads from or is the dealer the only place? What would be the thickest pad I can fit to the rear?

cheers

The pads come from the dealer (and are buttons). There will be a 3 burl and possibly a 4 burl. Each will be 5mm thicker than the previous one but will have an effect of 1.5x on the height (so 7.5mm).

I could be wrong but I thought the 202 had camber bolts on the front and rear as standard.

Edit: Just checked - there is a 5 burl and the difference on a 202 is 4mm between each.
Minimum is 5mm max is 21mm.
Part numbers (check these!) are 2103210x84 where the x is the number of burls.
1 burl being thinnest is 2103210184 5 burl is 2103210584.

Cool :)
I also found them on MisterAuto just after posting this thread (Febi ones, very cheap, like less than a fiver each). I can't remember if its got 2 or 3 burl on at the moment. I think it's safe to say I'll want the thickest ones I can get.

ATS said there was no camber adjustment on the rear and that it was only just within tolerance. They didn't comment on the front as it came well within tolerance. I thought it was the tracking which was wearing the front inside edges but they adjusted that and whilst it improved it it's still scrubbing them a bit too much.
I assume those laser alignment machines are only as good as the person using them.... the guy chipped the paint on both rear arches forcing the tangs over the tyre. Had to touch that up myself as I don't trust them to do a good enough job to keep the rust at bay.

Regards the fronts im sure I read somewhere that it was standard but was then deleted? When I search W202 camber bolts on google I just get rear camber arms coming up though.

Might take it to another ATS next time lol.
