C220 Cdi 2008
Hello

I have been looking at a c220 Cdi 2007 with 80k miles, automatic
Price £5.5k

Looks very tidy and well looked after. (Is the price about right?)

Haven't had mercs in the past onle BMW but they where always newish.

Anything I should be aware off? Does Black Death apply to this models too?

Go for petrol or diesel?

Any major services due at around this mill age or age??

I am looking for a good old solid car for years to come with no headaches.

All advice is welcome

Many thanks

that sounds a little high but others will come along with a better idea. why the c class? i had my 2001 c class estate for a total of 3 days before it felt small and cramped and bought a 1998 e class instead. are you bothered about mpg, what mileage will you do?

2005 CL500.
Black death will affect any diesel...but it's nothing to worry about. About £50 to fix.

Is that a 203 or 204 C Class??

I think that is heavy money if a 203 and a 220cdi.

You can be in a very well specced sub 100k miles C320cdi Sport estate for that money with full Merc history, comand, ipod interface etc. etc.

The difference between the C320 and C220 mpg wise is around 3-4mpg and the 320cdi is just sublime in comparison.

I bought one the same as this before xmas....

I love it for the money. I paid less than £5500 btw. But needs a couple of niggles sorting, dent on front wing, fromt right parking sensor only works sometimes, ding on rear door. But I decided I would rather have the 320cdi and sort the niggles over the next few months.
