Brown should be -ve,
trial and error with the other 2, one will be illumination for the cig lighter surround.
If you get the wrong one it just means the HU will power up when the lights are switched on, so swap to t'other.
On HU's that don't illuminate from the canbus when lights are switched on this is where I would tap into for the HU orange wire.
It's difficult to see good detail from the photo's.
Maybe you ask specific questions and refer to a particular photo.
It looks like you have a antenna amp plugged in, with a blue wire needing 12 volts. The loose blue wire of the HU would be what plugs into this.
However the car will have its own antenna amp and doesn't require another. If you need an adapter for the fackra from the car into the HU these can be bought for a couple of quids.
As far as the two cars Fackra antennas go, tune to a weak station and see which one gives best reception when plugged in, tape the other back on itself to avoid future confusion.
The 2 screw on antenna ports should be labelled, I see you have mounted the wi fi antenna and the GPS antenna is waiting for connection. If you site the black block of the GPS somewhere below the plastic of the dash that will give a good satellite view., it doesn't want to be shielded below metal. There is usually a fair amount of excess cable.
Wi fi reliability can be a bit iffy 've found. Mine on the Viano is poor, Larisa's is far better. I bought a USB antenna fro mine but it's no better so looks to be the HU, Chinese so there ya go.
Thanks a lot mate. I won't be using WiFi too much except for navigation (probably shared from the smartphone WiFi). I 'll check about the 2 fackra anyway.
For the GPS, yes, I'll see how can I take it out without taking the dashboard off (I was thinking to put it somehow under windscreen on the dashboard - or how about under glovesbox?)
And about Powering on the HU, I guess I have to follow your previous comments? Which cable needs to be used on the cigarette socket?
Anyway, massive thanks!
Thank you all, with a lot of patience, and guided by all your info, I've managed to sort it out!
All I have to do is to mount the rear camera and the wires through plastic trim, panels, etc, but connections already made.
I've never tried radio on my HU (maybe once, right after fitting), so can't comment - I don't listen to the radio, ever
For update, you just need to get it online - I simply create a temporary hotspot on my iPhone, but if you have a 4G dongle you can make it a permanent solution.
