Would love to do it that way but not sure if this unit has the aux facility which I thought was lurking in the glovebox but there nout . Is the aux input on the rear of the stereo ?
Thanks by the way .

Should this be a concern as I dont have a changer . It says in the description >
Installation notice :

# Make sure that your external CD changer option is enabled, if it is not enabled, you need to contact your dealer and ask to activate the CD changer function.

# If you already have a external CD changer, This adapter will disable and replace your existing CD Changer.

That connects by spoofing a CD changer using the MOST fibre optic connections on the back of the unit.

....
I have that radio (or certainly looks like it) in my R Class. I bought this https://www.commandonline.co.uk/mb_aux_ntg2.html from Mercedes & fitted it to the pre drilled hole in the side of my glove box. I was told that it wasn't compatible but it works.
The radio needs to show AUX when you press & hold CDC though

Have a 2005 W220 and have been looking at these Double Din units on eBay, Amazon, etc. Is there any useful information about these things rather than just sales info? How well do they integrate? How does the satnav update? Will it play MP3, ISO files from USB; what about the CD unit in the boot? So many things to find out.
Thanks.
