I have just bought a 4.5 year old SL350 to replace my 16 year old CLK 320 Cabrio. My old car had an ambient temperature sensor, but my newer one doesn't seem to have one. The manual mentions that this isn't available on UK cars, which seems strange. When I follow the settings in the car, I should be able to select between ambient / external temperature display and digital mph display (which duplicates the usual dial) … but I don't seem to have the choice.

Frost has already arrived in Scotland and knowing the external temperature would be very useful.

Am I missing something?

Is it a retro-fit on this model?

Regards

That is a bit odd, I will check EPC but It wouldn't be the first time I am surprised.

Very odd given our 2002 one has one.
