Do you think that the announcement by Slipperystone to pull out of it's contract is just posturing? It seems that way to me...let's hope it doesn't backfire on them!

C'mon Lewis! A win today would be grand!

From what I've read they are losing around £11m/year, receipts vs fees to stage.
Not sure that's entirely true...
++ Hamilton!

Ticket sales (£300 starting price) for 150,000 spectators is a cosy £45,000,000 without taking the hospitality and other prices into account!

They lost £2.8m in 2015, £4.8m last year and a similar forecast for this year. It’s to do with the cost accelerator Bernie put in when they signed the deal with a break clause from 2019.

They signed a 17yr deal @ £12m/race. But the 5% annual accelerator means it increases each year.

Danny RIC has had an engine so with another 10 place grid penalty on top the 5 he had, he starts 19th

Makes sense for him
He was already back of the grid so any further penalties become meaningless.

Well they should take constructor points off the teams for replacement gearboxes engines turbos etc

Leave the drivers alone and stop penalizing them on the grid.
+1^
Penalise drivers for driver infringements, teams for the team/design/mechanical shortfalls.

Weather looking like dry, but, an outside chance of a shower...
Either way Ham looks to have the edge!

I think I saw one of Vettel's eye balls explode inside his helmet.
&
Raikkonen's behaviour on the podium was disgraceful.

Now that was a race worth watching!
Bottas - a cracking charge.
Verstappen - his usual lightning start and great defending.
Ricciardo - good spirited drive through the field.
And the last few laps really made the race!

Poetic justice to see Seb drop down to 7th. Such a whiner expecting everyone to get out of his way.

Entertaining stuff from MV and SV for a couple of laps. Verstappen would be sensational in a quicker car.
The rest was a procession unfortunately. Great day for Mercedes and LH in particular. He was unstoppable.

I did love the way Verstappen gave Vettel a dose of his own medicine and the Vettel shook his fist! ****** hilarious!

Ticket prices start at £50, my 3 day "General Access" was £125. All food stalls etc rents go to F1 as part of the deal Bernie did.

Apologies! Those higher prices are the prices I got from the Silverstone site. Maybe because it was a late inquiry? I stand corrected. :D
