Happy to see Verstappen win this race he's had his share of bad luck, and a pity Vettal couldn't quite make it past Ricairdo it would have put a bit of pressure on Hamilton.

I like Max. Pretty sure he will be a WDC one day.

Also liked seeing Vettel getting a lift back - reminded me of the good old races of the past.

A dull race on the whole although as a Ferrari fan I'm pleased Seb did so well. Odd with Kimi but apparently his car suffered with the same problem. Some intake pipe failure. The Sweater (Marchionne) is livid apparently!

I did smile when Max sailed by Hamilton's slower car. Hamilton has supposedly said he let him pass as he's looking at the bigger picture! Whatever happened to the "I race to win" :D

I guess most on here are Mercedes fans and I'm not, I bought my Merc so I could kick it every time they beat a Ferrari (it does have some fair old dents in now  :p) but I'm sure you realise racers will do whatever they need to win. Both Vettel and Hamilton (to name two) are both of that mindset.

Whilst Hamilton increased his points over Vettel, thankfully because the Red Bull was a quicker car in race pace (by a fair margin) for Ferrari it was a better result than otherwise might have been after the dreadful qualifying. Hopefully the next few races will be better as we may have a clincher.

Always Ferrari for me and if they keep winning my Merc comes off better :D

I do think though that the accident at the end was odd. From Vettel's car it appeared he drove straight into Stroll's car but I also saw video footage from a car behind and it appeared Stroll did drift. 50/50 is my guess and it seems no further action taken :).

There's certainly more drama before and after the races than in them!

Seb's gearbox given all clear so no grid penalty for Japan

Hopefully the gearbox will explode one lap from the end of the race.

Not quite. It’s been given the all clear to try it in the car. They have to run it in FP1 and decide then if it will survive Qualifying and the Race.

Personally I hope it survives Qualifying and then gives up before the first corner! :p

I'm hoping Hamilton's does that, or the engine. Make my day would that.

I like Hamilton, probably the best racing driver about at the moment in my opinion.

He is also a great ambassador for F1, always seems willing to be interviewed and appear on the media.

He does wear his heart on his sleeve but maybe no bad thing.

He is like marmite though love him or hate him.

He is a good driver but then so are most of the others it's just that he has the more reliable machine.
he gets on my nerves when things aren't working out for him, he gets a face on him like a slapped backside.

It is and it isn’t if I’m honest. If Renault do anything that remotely resembles someone else’s tech they’ll get sued to the hills and back.

And of course they're not aware of that, so they will no doubt be using all the competitors tech without modifying or disguising it in any way!
