Gutted for Alonso (again)... hadn't he got it into the top 10?
Got a 35 place penalty for an engine change (how in hell can you get 35 places when there’s only 22 cars?.....don’t answer I’m being ironic :p)

Orsum result for Lewis. It wasn't the gearbox failure for Vettel I asked for. But a faulty spark plug will ding dang do for me. :D:D

Well Hamilton certainly needs some luck to go his way after being robbed of the title last year.

Used to have a C63...
Poor show by both Massa and Alonso though, could've been a tasty last 2 laps with Verstappen and Hamiltron!

59 points ahead means a second or win in the next race secures the Championship?

100 points to play for:
59 ahead and a win (25) would mean 84 points with 75 to play for so a win for Hamilton.
59 ahead and second (18) would mean 77 with 75 to play for so another win for Hamilton.

So yes....but only if Vettel scores no points.

If Hamilton wins in the US, Vettel has to finish above 6th to take the championship into the next race.
Failing an bad accident or catastrophic bad luck with mechanical failure, its now Hamiltons to lose.
He isn't going to slip up now and Vettel knows it.

Like that which happened in Malaysia last season with a new engine! I hope no repeat of that this year.

I’d be surprised if the title comes in Austin. I think it will be Mexico.

I can’t see Vettel finishing anywhere other than the top 3 in Austin. If he has another reliability issue then it will be extremely bad luck and not the way Hamilton would want to win the title. He’d take it all day long. But he’s a racer and I think he’d want to win it on Merit (which is not in question) rather than reliability issues for Vettel.

Be funny as fook though if Vettel‘s Car conks out again! :D :D
