Hi Everybody,
I am new to this site so if i make any mistakes then i apologies in advance, I have a c class 270cdi, (2003) on occasions (3) over the last 2yrs of ownership i have had the following problems:
The box will jump into neutral whilst driving, even though the dash clearly displays that it is still in drive, but i can freely rev the engine whilst d is displayed on the dash, then the box will jump back into drive and off we go again. All other gearbox functions seem to work perfectly. I have also noticed that in cold weather after starting it seems to start off in 2nd gear rather than 1st, this doesn't occur once it has traveled a short distance.
If anyone has any ideas or advice then i would be more than grateful.
