Dear All,

I would like to recommend the above product. I used it two days ago to clean my dashboard and I have to say what a spectacular job it does of fogging up the interior of the windscreen. Nothing I have tried can get the streaks and smears of the glass. Anyone who has a passion for viewing the road through streaks and smears should buy this product ASAP, its fabulous stuff.
I am reluctant to go a purchase Auto Glym's window cleaner as God knows what it will do to the dashboard!
Can anyone suggest the Mother of all glass cleaners, please note; I am talking about the interior of the windscreen.

Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

Regards Tedfred

Personally I just use a dry couple of microfiber towels, just keep going at it until its finally clear

Some diluted IPA solution should get if off, I would suspect.

My current favourite glass cleaner is Anglewax Vision - although it does smell a little bit of urine :(

Dear All.
I did not expect to hear of dry micro fibre cloths, but I will try that first, though do not hold out much hope judging by past experience. Dilute IPA sounds like a good weapon , that will be my next attempt.
Based on what Binnedit says about Angle wax, I think I might have a cheaper alternative?
I will let you know how I get on .thanks for your comment.
Best regards
Tedfred .

If you get really stuck ring autoglym they have a helpline .
Next time spray on to the cloth first to keep it away from the screen :D

Other option is good old washing up liquid and vinegar, not enough to soak the screen but should shift things

Best i can tell you is this - Astonish and its not from the auto shop . But the local store price £1 a spray . The wife was a a cleaner for most of her life . And for the windows she used nothing else . I have to purchase this Astonish a dozen bottles at a time from ebay. Its what i use to clean the windows of my car .

Thanks Again for your responses,

I will look out for a bottle of "Astonish" and try that out.

As for vinegar and newspaper, I used to use this method until the print from the news paper stained the roof lining of my VW Polo. I have never been able to remove this stain and each attempt just makes the stain larger. So now I never clean anything with news paper.

Thanks as always for your response.

Regards

Tedfred

Maybe a piece of green kitchen cleaning cloth (the soft scourers )
Maybe some meths or white spirit if it didn't work dry .

Next time you want to clean your dash board use a nice clean damp cloth...with nothing added.

Dear vtaylor78

I have difficulty accepting the concept of cleaning windscreens/glass with wire wool. Surely the cleaning agent will not be held by the wool and surely the result will be a scratched windscreen?

Tedfred

I used the back of a washing up sponge with a plastic like rough back to remove some sticky tape residue from my rear screen and it scratched that. I won't do that again !
