Auto trans oil change on 2013 C350 722903 04 804524 trans

I have a question for one our our Indie friends

MY C350 which sits tucked up in the garage 80 % of the time is just turning 4 and the service indicator suggests it needs a B service and transmission oil change.

It has 34,000 miles from new, service wise it also saying that it will need a fuel filter too.

I'll have the B service done

My question is, while its not going to do any harm, at 34,000 miles is it really necessary just yet ?

My last E class was a so called 'sealed for life' transmission, we all know what happened to them.

In just over 12 months and 3000 miles on from my last dealer service, if i wait until the anniversary month the scope of the service due to time, will be the wrong side of £1200 at my friendly MB dealer.
( it wont be going there )

An Indie will be along shortly I’m sure, but until then, chuck my twopence worth in- feel free to disregard if the professionals differ!

IIRC the actual ATF change on these is 37,500 miles, so if you’re doing 3,000 PA you’ll still be within next year, so I’d wait. You can always get it done ‘stand alone’ during the year if you feel any issues happening with the box. That’s my take
