autobox problem

hi everyone , ive just bought a 2000 , on a w plate , c class 250 td elegance estate , 192000 miles with full dealer history , its got a jumping out of gear problem in that it will drive perfectly normally in low revs and low speed but under acceleration , it slips or jumps out of drive . any ideas on a cure or what to do or where to go ? cheers ade

Hello and welcome. Have you checked the fluid level in the box. Also as you have full service history, check to see when the last time the transmission fluid was changed.

could it be the The electroplate in the transmission may have failed i've heard its quite common' is the car obd2 complient maybe you could plug in a laptop to find out if any faults are stored
maybe some one with a lot more knowledge might step up soon

Check teh engien mounts aren't worn so allowing the engine to sit too low and pulling on the selector linkage when under acceleration.
Diesels do hammer the mounts a bit.
