Blue Efficiency Software
After having thought about my last post for a bit, there are two points that might account for the differences between our cars and which I overlooked: One is that my present car is a diesel, yours is petrol. I think that any previous discussions on this forum related to diesel cars. (like yours my last car was also petrol and as I said, it started in 2nd when in C mode)
The second is that yours is a Blue Efficiency and the set-up will be almost certainly different from mine which is pre-BE.
I might also say that mine can lurch slightly on the change from 3rd to second when, say, exiting a roundabout, especially if the ECU thinks that 3rd will be OK, and I give it a bit more welly than it expected and makes a late change to second. I put it down to driving technique rather than a software glitch, but maybe as the warranty runs out next year, I should get it checked....
Maybe somebody with a BE petrol could comment, because I don't think comparing petrol and diesel behaviours is ideal.
Sorry if I confused things a bit....

Thanks for your reply. Before yesterday I was always driving it in C mode and it always drives off on second gear. Strange yours doesn't...
