I have a petrol E200 1995 saloon
I'm sorry to ask but I need a little help as I can’t seem to find a reference to my problem on the forum.

I need to do a full oil change on the automatic transmission and I need to ask the following.

Can anyone tell me what fluid type or equivalent does Mercedes recommend and what volume does it take?

Can anyone post a link to a diy replacement fluid change?

I hope someone can help as I'm going on holiday soon.

Thanks so much
Chris :D

You will have a dip stick and a torque converter drain plug :D

One thing though - what car is it?

E200, presumably, but in your user details it says 1997, in the title 1994, and in your post 1995!

Very different cars, and very different gearboxes.

but why is it suddenly urgent for that holiday ?

if it is working OK I would leave well alone, as you might muck it up.

It's got problems with the gears taking a while to move up compared to 6 months ago, I've dipped the oil with a garages stick and it's a bit brown and the fuel consumption has got increasingly worse they recomended an ATF change as it hasnt been done for 60,000 miles

There is a good chance that you have a converter drain plug on that car, and it will give a much better fluid change, most comment how smooth the changes are when done
