Automatic transmission type

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what type of automatic transmission is fitted to a 2014 B class?

CVT, torque converter etc.

I'm guessing at that age of car, it would be a dual mass clutch but could be CVT, how many gears do you have 7?

Lol you know what I mean, my wife's cvt box is 7 speed and really good, well it is now its been rebuilt

I assume then that is a similar idea to one of VAGs cvt gearbox in that electrickery simulates gear changes. CVT transmissions I've come across at work (before they've been replaced with inverter driven gearboxes) are a variation on DAFs Variomatic of years gone by and what you'd find in a rev & rip scooter.

I think the 2014 B Class has a DCT auto box. Dual clutch which is similar to the VAG s tronic or dsg
