W204 Start / Stop not available since it got colder , don't want it anyway and switch off , but it's an indication the battery isn't 100% .

Main battery in engine compartment , aux in boot , charging done via engine compartment jump starting points , correct ?

I believe some have a separate stop/start battery, not sure about yours though.

No, it only charges the battery you have the terminals connected to.

Either battery can stop the stop/start system from working, needs to be checked really. Charging via jump starting points will charge the main battery, but not the aux battery.

Anyone ever charge the stop/start battery? I only use the car two or three tines a month now. I leave a smart charger on the main battery, and wondering if it would benefit from charging the auxiliary battery

Stop/start will often not work in colder weather simply because the ECU is letting the car get to temperature

Seems the front was below par as intial connection revealed 11.8V .

What type battery is this ?

Its a standard sealed flooded lead acid cell (IE not AGM).

Tanya's site indicates this AGM Stop start battery is the only Varta one that is 80ah and 800CCA ? Its a 110 AGM type.
