Does anyone know what sort of battery current drain should be typical on a W124 with everything switched off? My '95 E320 runs its 60 AH battery down to the point where starting is touch and go in about seven days if left unused. If I disconnect the battery negative lead and connect an ammeter the current draw is around an amp for a couple of seconds, then drops to between 0.5 and 0.35 amps for around a minute, fluctuating between the two, then stabilises at 0.12 amps (120Ma). If I remove fuses 9 and C together, this figure drops to almost zero. However, removing them one at a time does not seem to make much difference to the overall battery drain. I have tried disconnecting equipment on these fuses one bit at a time; interior front light, central locking pump etc to no avail. Everything seems to work OK charging system maintains 14 volts across battery terminals with engine running and every electrical accessory turned on. Any ideas anyone?
