Could there not be a problem if it failed, Halfords are known to tell people that it is the car and not the battery when they fail.

Any retailer with any make of battery could come up with similar tosh.
After all you buy from the retailer not the manufacturer.

Not so in the case of a battery I bought from Halfords, 2 of their own failed and I bought a Bosch, that went down and they refused to change it, I went to the Bosch Service center and they tested it and said it was U/S, they rang Halfords who then changed it and its been fine since then some 8 years ago.

So Halfrauds the retailer reconsidered after, another retailer, a Bosch Service centre told them they had made a mistake.

Thats was the way it was, If I had not been able to stand my own ground I would have failed. In the end I had to stand in the shop doorway and block it and refuse to move till they dealt with it. A very sad day in all as I stood by everything I ever sold with never a word when I was trading.
