Although you don't need a synthetic on the older straight six engine it might be useful to standardise on an oil suitable for both. I would recommend something like Fuchs TITAN SUPERSYN 5W-40 High Performance, Fully Synthetic, Engine Oil meets MB 229.3 and costs
