Hi. When I try to use voice recognition to make a phone call in my 2015 c class it automatically seems to default to the navigation system, not the phone, and asks me for a navigation option, when I press the voice activation button on the steering wheel. This is all new to me, any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Have you gone through the training session so it can recognise your voice?

Hi

If, like me, you've got the Audio 20 system, rather than Command, then I think the voice recognition only works with the Satnav (unless someone more knowledgeable comes along to put me straight)?

My previous S204 had Command and when I asked the salesman if the S205 I was considering did everything my old one did, I naively believed him!

For me, it wasn't a big issue but I'll be more clued up next time.

I have Command on line but you do need the correct termination.

Telephone xxxxx. Does not work

But

Call xxxxx. Does work

Unless it's my Norfolk accent of course

Thanks Phils - you are right, there is only voice activation on the satnav. Can live without it for the phone - never make a call on the move in the past anyway.:D
