Lol my wife wanted to put one on our SL500 arguing it is an AMG sports line and it already has the mats, wheels, spoilers etc. I told her if she wants the badge then we should upgrade to an R232 SL63 but she can pay for the ABC repairs!

Yes I will spray the badge if I can remove it in one piece, hopefully should be ok.

You could try plasti-dipping, may give a better finish?

As I read through this thread I had exactly the same thought as mentioned in that article.

It's like wearing a fake Rolex and thinking people can't tell the difference. Why do it?
