Hi,

Why do lights have to come on at inopportune times.....is it the 'law of sod'?

Daughter just let me know the warning light has come on......
Tommorrow eve I'm off to KL (Malaysia), - so I'm going to have to get up early doors, run her to work, get the bits, do the job, go pick her up from work.....
( and hope I find nothing nasty, or which slows me down)

And then I get to go to work :(

.....if it had waited till Tuesday, I'd be home with plenty of time to play with it! Grrr

If its pad wear you have a few miles yet so I wouldn't worry.

You can treat it like a fuel light coming on, it will need attending to soon but won't stop you driving the car for a short period of time

Mine has days of 'coming on' and 'not coming on'. I can start the car in the morning, cancel the warning, and never ever see it for a few days hence.

I 'know' the condition of the pads on my car. As stated, it is a 'warning to examine', rather than 'replace immediately'.

Enjoy your trip.

Actually when she got home she said it was just flickering on and off over bumps, not on continuous. So checked and the brake fluid level was down, (prob due to pad wear) so I topped off and went for a drive, -light out!

(That got me off the hook today)

Think I'll give it a good check over next week, check pads/discs, ARB bushes & droplinks. It's due a service and MOT so might as well get on with it...... :)

They continued to occasionally flicker, so new pads n sensors today, and it's finally cured.
Weird as the warning wasn't constant, and not always on under braking - which led me to doubt sensor wear........
