Brake wear malfunction

Just had my rear brakes replaced, the malfunction is still coming up on my computer, does this has to be reset?

any ideas. thanks

Most pads Len are only linked to the front and few cars have them on the rear. check the front pads out

Hi Malcom, the backs had one sensor .......the fronts are ok

one note: if re-using the old sensor would this cause th malfunction stay on?

There are 2 types of sensor.

First the single wire, these are a single pin that turn the light on once the plastic on the pin has worn through and make contact with the disc. With this type the lanp will come on once the brake pedal has been pushed, and stay on till the next start.

On the 2 wire system, once the sensor pin has made contact with the brake disc, it cuts the wire, and the system goes open circuit, with this system the warning lamp will come on the whole time until the faulty sensor has been replaced.
