C Class W203 - Indicator + T/L bulbs

My W203 ( '00) has developed multi bulb failure warnings - computer saying substitute front N/S indicator and now just recently O/S rear tail lamp. Upon inspection of the said bulbs the bulbs are fine so having cleaned the contacts, still find the same problem.

The local stealership recommended new mods for the front indicator(s) because they would not only do the one affected but both and quoted £160 plus :evil:
This was before the tail lamp went!

Any help appreciated.

I do not know if your problem is the same as I had. but I had repeated failure of rear bulbs.
Replaced them and all ok but discovered from this group that there is a wiring mod to deal with this.
Went to dealer and he did the mod on the spot , no charge. My car is still under warrenty.

I have exactly the same problem with my merc indicators as you had. Did you get a solution? What did you find wrong please?
