Just noticed something about my w202 c200. The wire to the air mass meter was disconnected when I reconnected it the car barely ran at all no warning lights on the dash tho disconnected it runs fine again with no warning lights but is heavy on fuel. I assume theres a problem with the meter but would like a second opinion before I order a new one. Also my oil filler cap is stuck hard and wont come off what would the best way be to remove it without damaging it?

Sounds like it might be that, I think a star test would confirm. The oil cap tends to be extremely tight on a cold engine. Warm the engine up properly and you should find it comes off with ease.

Yes some cars will run just fine when the MAF has failed and it is disconnected, they will run rich, and thirsty.

What make is it, if a Bosch then cheapest from any Bosch service center

On these engines if you disconnect the MAF it will run in a base setting. Check the signal wires to the MAF too. Mine started misbehaving last week, star said "MAF sensor current and stored". I threw a MAF at it and it was still the same. Turned out I had a broken signal wire from the ECU. Should have diagnosed it properly first!!!
