I've got the c230k 2.3(m111) 2002

I've seen a few companies claiming to get an extra 35-39bhp from a remap, I know its a 2.3supercharged but this still sounds like quite an increase from 193bhp.

What are the thoughts on this? Does it sound about right and would it be worthwhile getting done?

Many thanks

Good morning,

For a remap alone this is not a realistic claim. Mapping alone will achieve 15-20 bhp and 10-15 nm of torque. The only way to achieve that sort of power would be a map and a pulley upgrade. This is something that we can cater for.

Regards

Thanks. I thought 20% sounded extremely optimistic for what it was.

Few questions then.
First, what kind of stress will the engine be under after all that? I know the m111 engine is a solid unit, but I don't want it blowing up after 1000miles.
Secondly, how much for that?
And finally, where are you? I'm in Gloucester.

Many thanks.

Dont worry about the stress on the engine, the 2.3 kompressor is good for around 350-400 hp, there is a guy in Australia who has turbocharged his kompressor lump (removing the supercharger) and he has gotten 346 hp at the wheels. In your case you're completely safe with what you want to achieve.

Thanks very much for the reply. What about the supercharger, will that be fine fine for the increased boost? Its done 74000 miles.

Just waiting on a price now then :)

The increase in pressure from the supercharger will be very minimal. Im pretty sure that boost increase would only be around a couple of psi increase? Don't quote me on that! They run very differently than turbo chargers which the boost increase is a lot higher.
