No such thing as enough power! Ask @daveenty.

I used to own Skoda Octavia vRS. I tuned the two I had and the last one started at 200ps and 207lbft from the factory.

When sold it had over 380bhp and nearly 400lbft.
I'm hoping that I have enough power! Time will tell, surely with the GAD update there cannot be many other cars that can keep up, forgetting AMG and the BMW M# range of course, oh and the Audi RS, but they are extreme.

With a GAD map you won’t be much quicker off the line.

But your in gear acceleration is starting to approach AMG levels. Not quite the same but not far off.

Just grow a pair and do it! :p

Btw I’m great at spending other folks money.... :D

ha ha yeah I need to. I was quoted £300 for a mobile tuner so I will look at the difference.

It is just faster and pulls like a train, all parameters are well within the safe levels of the engine
I suppose the power increase is around 20% so doesn't sound too crazy.

When my indy serviced my car and took it for a test drive after he came back laughing, said it was C63 fast in gear, couldn't believe it

Holy crap!!.....................Jumps in the car and drives to GAD.
So as long as you don't hammer all the time, keep the car serviced should it be as reliable as if it hadn't been touched?

It affects nothing apart from the loud pedal

I'll check prices when the site is back up. I do need to get the wheels re-furbished and a small pain repair done as well. So the wheels and pain will have to wait!
It would be interesting to experience a tuned one before committing. Is there another tuner that we are associated with, GAD is a long way for me.

I'm in Gloucestershire, so GAD for me is 170 miles, MSL about 65. I've got a mobile tuner than can here this week o_O

^ this and this- go to Acid at MSL, do not pass go nor collect £200...
Took my stock E63 from 557 BHP- a ‘modest’ 684 (I say modest as they back off a little now- I reckon 700 is where its at) and 835lb/ft torque (which is awesome for a petrol job, enough to make your eyes roll in their sockets), all done with no drama- Dyno before and after and print out to boot....what more can you ask for?
I did toy with Celtic Tuning mobile for my SL, but no hard proof what’s been achieved

Dyno numbers are only to be used a tool IMO.

The only way that tool is useful is to measure the change before and after.

Trying to extrapolate performance numbers is difficult, as there are many different variables, the way the dyno measures power, back calculated losses, correction factors, ambient conditions, heatsoak etc.

Some different dyno manufactures read up to 50hp off from each other. So it should be used to compare absolute differences.

Bottom line is, if the car feels faster than it did before, then the map is doing its job. Whether the car was down on power in the first place is another question, but I would be inclined to think that if it was down on power, a map wouldn't "fix it". (boost leak etc). Essentially, the "low power" may come down to just inaccurate dyno measurement.
