but you can't dump a huge amount of current into a lead acid that easily.
(as I'm positive you already know) its supposed to be an AGM, which can take more abuse in and out

I have a 30AH AGM motobatt on the diesel bike, that sat without being charged for a year and half, and still had 12.5V when I checked it.AGM battery internal resistance can be up to 1/5th that of a flooded lead acid battery so in theory it can be charged up to 5 times faster and deliver 5 times more current. In practise it's less than that - more typically 2 to 3 times.
For sure, including relatively deep discharge without damage and long periods of time without self discharge.
I just bought a new one for the S class, lets see if grange mouth supply the right one (95ah AGM). They where £30 cheaper than the cheapest Yuasa I could find.
The subframe bushes where also cheaper than Febi equivalents on ebaywhitey and I both got the right one from them in last few months (an utter steal)

Hmm I tried to get a 95AH to replace this one

and was told they have been superceded by the 92AH like this Below

The 92 AH is the one ... well two that are defective.
Was the first your current part no.?
Maybe yours is a physically bigger bay.
So very interested if you can get one.
Yep its the later single battery version. In that location I doubt the 95AH one will fit, looks like its a good 4 to 6 inches longer.
You have the later, single battery system under the bonnet?
the big 95 amp hour battery that's std in the back of my w221 S class and the back of my fathers w211 e class is
350mm long x 175mm wide x 190mm high
between terminals its 295mm centre to centre and weighs 26kg
do you really think that (350mm long x 175mm wide x 190mm high) would have gone under the bonnet on your car ? mine in that position is about 200mm long, whilst there's a good few inches for a bigger battery, don't think that one would go there
