Have you got any plans for your cars in the new year.
For my c207 my plans are,
carbon fibre rear spoiler,
(already ordered).
Pentagon smoked tints,
Re-map, (going of the talk about maps on this forum and if it makes my car drive better and faster then it already is, it should be awesome). And a few other bits and bobs, i.e. I'm gonna get my plastic engine cover sprayed and make my engine bay really smart, hopefully nothing to OTT.
As hopefully this car is a keeper. :)

I'm looking to replace the Head Unit. I'm charmed by the retro elements elsewhere though the car but I don't get on with the ancient SatNav and I'd like to move to a modern way of playing music instead of six CDs. Already got the quote from Unique/Comand (£1600.00). Hands free phone will be a bonus. Also two new tyres. Hope nothing else needs doing.

My plans are to not sod around with it, keep it exactly as it is supposed to be, keep it properly serviced and to keep it as clean as is humanly possible :)

Yep, white with the V in red
and the V6s in black, as an added bonus red V on white is the shirt of my rugby league club,
St Helens. :)

Oh I’ve just thought of something I’d like done.
Full (Proper) interior valet , I like doing the outside and can spend hours, but absolutely useless on the interior.
Anyone recommend ?

I’m going to be driving mine quite a lot, stuck as many dead dinosaurs through it as I can.

I’ll service it and put it though a car wash or 3 whilst I’m at it.

John Laidlaw always uses someone he recommends for a full on monthly clean , but now that JL has bourght a BMW ( )maybe it would be nice for you to offer up your car (being a Mercedes) to his valeter so he can touch proper German quality again . Just a thought:rolleyes:

My plans are a little removed from Mercedes too. I have sold my C63 and my Caterham to create room to get on with my 1967 Volvo Amazon project. Without the space it would never be started, let alone finished.

On top of that my wife is 50 this year. As part of the celebrations our SLK is coming out of hibernation and she will be driving it for the summer. It has been in storage since 2008 and the arrival of number two son. It has been started and moved about regularly, the fluids have been changed as required, but I will be fitting a new set of tyres. It's mileage will increase significantly from its current 21,000 I am sure!

The CL will be getting bodywork, so its up to scratch, and 700hp worth of tuning on the 113k. Once done. It will act as a show car for us, to showcase what can be done on that platform.

The S class will no doubt have something wrong with it. It needs diff mounts, so they will probably be done. I am also fitting an android auto can interface so that should be good.

The c63 will plod along as normal. No plans for it especially!

I'll be looking at the best way to sort the Comand battery drain on the 230 - probably a new head unit (which is complicated by the presence of Bose and D2B).
The r129 looks like it will need the gearbox removing to fix a gearbox oil leak (will do rear main bearing seal at the same time) and the trusty bus (210) will be needing a new catalytic converter as I think I can hear the existing one rattling when hot.
The Smart has an uncertain future as its reason to be part of the stable has largely gone away now that I commute by train but I'm finding it difficult to get my head round selling it (not that it's worth anything as it has 150k miles and a poorly folding roof).

I won't be doing much really. My W202 C280 will be staying with me for yet another year - see my post elsewhere today. The SLK continues to come out only on nice dry days. I can see that needing new discs and pads this year, otherwise it's pretty much pristine as it is.

Put some ticket on it and a pair of new boots up front.

Source a new artico seat cover, have the paint work touched up, deep valet and maybe sell it.
