Hi Guys, I hope you can help.
I have a 2004 Mercedes E270CDI Avantgade Tiptronic and when driving the car begins to shudder and vibrate when cruising between 35-40mph and after the car changes gear the vibration stops, only to reoccur at approximately 60-70mph.

When changing the gears manually the shudder doesn't occur between these speeds.

When driving off there are no noises or any issues however when reaching the above speeds the car begins to vibrate. At any other speed the noise doesn't occur and it can be sporadic. At times the vibrations can last 5 to 10 second long, other times it can be a second or two. It only seems to stop when you either slow down or accelerate out of it.
I've taken it to a garage who has ruled out the possibility it's a prop shaft issue or whether the wheels been balancing.
Has anyone had any similar issues, if not does anyone know what this could be or does anyone know any quick simple fixes.
Please help.

Thank you.

Sounds like you have glycol in the transmission caused by a failed radiator and its raising the faces on the torque converter. A very common fault.

A new radiator and a refurbed TC is required.
