Maybe ill give it a little clean myself in between, get the detailer round every 6 weeks or so for a proper go!

Good plan

Get yourself a microfiber or lambs wool mitt and some decent car shampoo and away you go

My guy comes around every 4-5 weeks and in between (weather and time permitting), I replicate his regime (not so well but he’s fairly complimentary anyway). He charges me £40, apart from materials I am free (or certainly cheap), so I’m reckoning it averages me £12 a week to have the car in the condition I want it. That said my mileage is barely 8k per year

Unless he arrives with a pressure washer- I wouldn't. I'm not keen on these man in a van setups ......I'd rather take it to a proper place where there do it under cover.

£624 a year buys a lot of nice wine :)

There is a touchless carwash near me. I'm taking the wife's car for a test run today and if OK will use it as a prewash when I want to do my car.

Ah- that’s what BA Avios points are for- just received my “put away for Christmas” selection..
24 bottles nice red
12 Bottles nice white (although no such things in my eyes...)
6 Bottles Prosecco assorted
20 bottles craft beer
All for about 60,000 points straight to my door
God knows what I’m going to drink on Boxing Day though?

It's not as strong as is used to be so the effect isn't the same - much better for the wifey I'm told, less white vests required

I’m still banned off it though (as well as which I don’t even like it...Peroni is my lager of choice...):p

I have never liked it but recently at the Grand Prix we had some and ice cold out of a can decanted into a glass it is actually very nice and tasted totally different to the draught.

****wasser (like coke) can only be imbibed when it's so cold you can't taste it, the sun is shining and you have some burnt meat in front of you

You'll get on well with Olly at PCS then John, both him and his wife drink it...

Don't be involving me in that round though, I can't afford it. :(

If you value your car avoid auto car washes, dealer car washes and side of the road hand car washes, they all suck.

When I worked for a manufacturer, every single new car (including convertibles) that came into the country went through an automatic car wash before going through its checks at the import centre.
