Child Lock W210

I have what I beleive to be a problem with the child lock on the rear off side door on my 1999 E Class estate (W210T).

I've had the car since November last year, and the child lock has occasionally set itself in the on position throughout the time I've had the car. Previously it was easy to reset, but now the door will not open from the inside whatever the setting. The door still opens from the outside, and the central locking locks and unlocks the door.

Your assistance would be much appreciated. Any ideas?

I think that you will have to remove the door card Will, to see what is wrong or stuck, some PTFE sprayed in thethrough the lever may help,,not had this before.

Typically the door opened from the inside without any problem on the morning following my post.

In any event I applied liberal quanties of penetrating oil and will see what happens.
