Cigerette lighter not working.

Any help? Cig lighter or 12v in rear not working. Changed fuse 54a which looked good anyway and still nothing. Any thoughts on what else could be?

The centre connector sometimes fails, mine had to be changed, luckily FOC by the main dealer.
Jiggling around occasionally got a momentary connection so I knew mine had power to the socket.

Get a test meter and check for continuity between the outer section and a good earth point.
Then check for voltage between the centre pin inside the socket and earth (with the ignition on).
