Cracking cars the CLCs and with the 220CDI lump its a very effective and nice car to drive. It will have the 646 engine in it so capable of a good remap to increase power and economy. I have owned a couple myself and always find them to be great vehicles.
That's good to hear mate cheers! I looked the other day and I think with a stage one remap it goes to 194bhp? Decent for stage 1.

Mine drove superbly at 185k miles, with nary a problem - except the usual minor niggles.
Unfortunately, even with fold down rear seats, I couldn't get my wife's wheel chair in it, so goodbye CLC.

GAD tuning got my 220CDI estate at just over 200bhp and that did 60 mpg+ on a run if I ticked it right. Before that I was lucky to get 45mpg. It was well worth it.

Just had them do my ML320CDI which is the family truck. What a difference. That was doing 24mpg combined and now doing 28mpg combined. On a run to Leicester and back the other day it averaged 36mpg which for a house on wheels, was very impressive.

****** good stats that there! I didn't realise the engine in the CLC is the same as in the standard C class?

Yes the 646 of that generation would have been put in cars of all 200 or 220 guises and vans!

I was about to type the exact same words myself.

I had a 220 cdi manual version once, I mapped that up to its eyeballs and it was fast for what it was! No torque managment from the manual boxes :p
