Poorboys Black hole works very well to hide swirl marks on a black car. Then top it off with a wax . Fantastic combination on my brothers black audi

As a final coat can i get away with just applying Carnauba liquid wax, was going to apply a good sealant at the end. Struggling to find something that will be delivered by Saturday.

Cheers JBell. I'm ok with that thanks.
So far I have:

car foam
car wash
Meguiar's Swirl remover
Autoglym ultra deep shine
Clay bar
carnauba wax
Sonax BSD.

This should keep me out of the wife's way on Saturday.

That should do it

It's ok for an all over interior wipe to get dust and dirt off

Don't get too obsessed with it all straight away. :)

Take your time doing little bits and pieces, it will reward you in the end. I know nothing about the product you mentioned so can't comment, other than to say that my preferred interior cleaner is either just a damp microfibre cloth or, where a matt finish is required like on the top of the dash, something like 303 Aerospace which is good for all sorts of plastics, engine bay included.

Enjoy what you're doing though and, if it starts to get on top of you, walk away from it for an hour or two, safe in the knowledge that it can't follow you. :D

Will do Daveenty, apart from cleaning the leather sort of forgot about the rest, look ok now to be fair, just a few tiny dusty areas. I do have enough to do, and not expecting anything showroom.

Do I need to make sure that I start this on a dry day. Not sure what the finish would be like if I have to stop because of rain in between processes? Don't have anywhere with shelter to do this.

You can clay in the wet, especially if you use the Built Hamber clay bar that uses water. You feel for the imperfections anyway. First time I used clay I couldn't believe the difference in feel on the paint (o er missus). The rest probably needs to be done when it's dry, but in the shade. Last time I did mine I had to wait several weeks for the right conditions.

Yes, I have that clay bar. typical, all this nice weather! To be honest the rain has cleaned the car up and the water is beading off lovely, might not need a detail.

I have a few of these scratcehs around the car, didntd notice them really until now. I cannot feel them but they are noticeable. I test a small spot on the bottom of the number and they did not polish out with meguiars swirl remover. This was by hand and not using a DA. Would ultimate compound be better? In the pic they look white and actually a lot worse for reason!!
