Dear all. My w209 has been standing for about 4 weeks as I have had an opt. Went to star her up to find battery totally dead (definitely that has clock stopped) and doors won't open.
Valet key will open boot but not drivers door. This is a 53 plate so battery is in engine bay, up by nearside bulk head.
I have looked on here and elsewhere and see one option is to Jack up and access starter solenoid with jump leads by removing bottom cover.
The other is use a small airbag to slightly force window and access interior handle.
Option one is complicated and, to me, two looks difficult as glass seems to be tight into frame of soft top?
I can open the boot and want to know if it will be possible to feed power in using a charger through anything accessible there?
Any thoughts?

Spray some lube into the drivers door lock , see if that will get it working .

I have heard of the starter motor being used in the past on here . But wait for someone knowledgeable to confirm that

Getting power to the starter solenoid certainly works but does mean crawling below and taking the splash shield off, not too bad if you have the jack and axel stands and of course feel up to it.
As your key works in the boot I would persevere with it in the door put in in a little way and then spray some lube in at the same time and try moving it a little each time, could take some time.
Other than that a long piece of bent wire and a lot of patience.
Good luck.

An RAC/AA man would do this easily if the quick solutions don't work for you.

Just looking for a rear fuse box layout for w209 but can readily find one, but if it is similar to the W203 there is a fuse for the alarm horn in it. I would expect that to be permanently powered ie when the key is out and the doors locked so that may back feed the doors locks.
May be worth a try as the layout should be on or with the fuse box.

Another option for the drivers door lock that’s not working is get lots of lube in there then put the key in and hold the base of a vibrating toothbrush against the key to shake the pins back into movement. If you have a more powerful vibrating device available then even better... :D

Does your CLK have drop-down rear seats? If it does and if you can access the boot then you could access the cabin and therefore open the bonnet to access the battery. Then charge/change it. Job done !

It's a convertible. They don't have folding rear seats as far as I'm aware.

Might be a long shot but on the W208 the central locking vacuum pump is in the boot can this be hotwired?

Not easily but you could remove a pipe and blow or suck it to open a lock...
