couldn't agree more , i have always looked at ex lease with slightly higher miles and over the years these have turned out to be the best ones.

There should be quite a few ex PCP cars on the market soon as well.

I'm a firm believer that cars need to be used to keep them at their best. The best cars to buy are those that do moderately high mileage in short periods as it implies long periods on motorways which is the best driving profile to keep cars happy. I would be unlikely to buy any youngish car that hasn't covered at least 12k miles per year and preferably 15k or more..

Your probably right.
I definitely believe its good to buy an ABC car that has been regularly driven, i may be crazy or ill informed but I honestly belive those valves and seals need regular movement.
I was probably over sensitive to hear my stereo go bonkers on me ... and the impending HK £1500 amp!

Guess what went out to turn off the Comand overnight ...
Gingerly tried the CD.
GUESS WHAT .... PERFECT SOUND ON RADIO, CD, SAT NAV AND PHONE .
The “Sound” parameters all work perfectly ... as if nothing had ever happened!
WTF.
Delighted but ....

As it wasnt the usual wont wake up or dead silence scenario I am hoping its just got its knickers in a twist, or its a low voltage thing.
But maybe I am delusionally trying to convince myself I wont need a new Amp!
Never had an Amp that could lose one side completely , boost and distort the tweeter on the other and have a tiny bit of sound on that side, and let the sub work in a distorted way. :-/

Messing in the car with the dash cams this week and hardly driven any miles have left the battery pretty low.
I recently often find the car after 3 days after a long full charge up, only showing 12.4V or initially until its closed down 12.2V or 12.1V.
Will check tomorrow.

If you look through a cars MOT history you can see what mileage it clocks up each year to see if it's even and not suddenly jumping from a few thousand a year to many tens of thousands. This would ring some alarm bells for me. Again history is very important.
What would be a sensible mileage to look for in a car that is 6 years old. Probably another daft question!

These are the sort of things I wouldn't have checked with asking.

Looking again at this thread, we still don't know who the offending dealer is.

OK he's changed the company name, but presumably the premises remain the same. It would be very useful for some on here to know which premises to avoid,
